Because the shape of the Phoenix Cut TM is only a fraction of the "rough" diamonds that are suitable for the production process. Below is a table showing the geometric characteristics of Phoenix Cut TM
Quality
Pearl Cut diamond TM is cut by Smolensk Kristall Production Corporation and referred to as the "Russian Make" diamond.
The Kristall Corporation insists that "Make Russia is an uncompromising quality."
The "Russian Make" stone is so called because extra attention is given to the symmetry, parameters, polishing and corset on the stone. This extra attention can be seen visually or supported by optical measuring devices.
Supply and availability
The Phoenix Cut TM diamond supply is very limited. This is because the Phoenix Cut TM diamond is made from high quality rough diamonds; the shape of the stone also limits the rough amount available for use. The main distributor for diamond Phoenix Cut TM is Berlian Antwerp LTD. They are the sole distributor for the UK and Ireland.
