" Diamond Hoo Ha Man " is a song by the English rock band Supergrass. The single was first played live at Guilfest 2007 in Guildford, England, and the live version was later released as a free download via the band's website (such as its B-side "345"). This is the first official single from the band's sixth album, Diamond Hoo Ha, and was released on January 14, 2008 as a single-vinyl single, limited to 1,500 copies, thereby limiting the chance of charting, which it failed to do. The instrumental version of this song was recorded by Biff Hyman (Mick Quinn) for Duke Diamond and Friends: Glange Fever Motion Picture Soundtrack.
Danny Goffey describes the character "Diamond Hoo Ha Man" mentioned in the song; "Maybe he's like a really dodgy Fear and Hate [in Las Vegas] -type of a traveling merchant-he does his job but always has other plans in his head, something a bit rundown, but with his album, Diamond Hoo Ha also means a very good time. "Diamond Hoo Ha Man" is somewhat exaggerated. "
The title song was actually praised by Nick Cave, with Gaz Coombes saying; "It's a great picture, not as good as one of David Bowie's strange characters, but it reminds me of one of them.We hit him, then Nick [Launay] said he talked to Nick Cave and mentioned it as probably the title and he left, Yes, man, I love it. ' He has a great album title and if he likes... "
This song was recently used as background music in ads for Gatorade and World Series of Poker from ESPN.

Video opens with the following statement:
"Supergrass is not available for making this video.
But upon hearing the song on Radio Free Europe, Berlian Hoo Ha Men Berlin decided to make their own cinematic greetings to Supergrass.
Thanks & amp; Enjoy "
This is because other members of the band (Mick Quinn and Rob Coombes) are absent, otherwise Danny Goffey and Gaz Coombes take on the role of Diamond Hoo Ha Men under their alter-ego from Randy Hoo Ha and Duke Diamond. Mick's presence was probably due to his accident in August 2007.
The first scene shows Danny Goffey opening the door of a house in response to the doorbell being rung. There, additional guitarist Charly Coombes stood in the doorway, dressed like a badminton player in the 1970s under alter-ego Chas Harrison (former Middlesex County Champion Badminton Pro, now a band's 'manager'.)
Charly then shouted, "Randy, come on! Where's the Duke? The car is here!", Called Danny, "Duke!" to push Gaz Coombes fast. Gaz joined them as they headed for Cadillac waiting outside, with pink pink dice hanging from the rearview mirror, where a driver opened the car door for all of them. As they drive the song itself begins. Then footage from Diamond Hoo Ha Men live on stage is shown, with the description of 'Duke Diamond' and 'Randy Hoo Ha' to coincide with their appearance on the video and Charly join them on stage to hit the shuttlecock in the audience with his badminton racket (It's because Gaz Coombes apparently frightened of feathers).
The video then changes between movie scenes like live bands (sometimes black, sometimes in the same outfit but in white), in Cadillac, Gaz and Danny as seen through a fish-eye lens camera, people with a clown-like mask not clear playing table tennis and dancing and pictures of both at sunset. As the handclaps on the song begin, the camera focuses on Diamond Hoo Ha's hand clapping and duplicates this image several times on the screen. Finally the video ends by riding a Cadillac into the sunset.
Gaz Coombes plays Fender Telecaster Deluxe black guitar throughout the video.
