Spa Novices' Hurdle

The Spa Novices 'Hurdle , also known as Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle , is a national Grade 1 Barriers race in Great Britain open to horses aged four years or older. It runs at the New Course in Cheltenham at a distance of about 3 miles (4,828 meters), and during the walk there are twelve obstacle jumps. The race is for a new hurdle, and is scheduled to take place annually during the Cheltenham Festival in March.

This was one of several new races introduced at the Festival when the fourth day was added to the meeting in 2005. For the first three runnings of the event was sponsored by Brit Insurance, and it was ranked at level 2. The vegetable-growing company, Albert Bartlett, race in 2008, and since then has held the status of Grade 1.
