Tiny Wings is an iOS game developed by German game developer Andreas Illiger, released on February 18, 2011. It was the top gaming top in the App Store for two weeks from late February to early March 2011. This app was voted the best iPhone game of 2011 and has sold at least 10.5 million copies in iPhone and 1.8 million copies on iPad based on Game Center Apple stats.
According to Illiger, the core mechanics of Tiny Wings are inspired by Nathan McCoy Wavespark.

Gameplay
In Tiny Wings , the player controls a bird whose wings are too small to fly. The purpose of this game is to use the hills to get the speed and flap for as long as possible. This is done by tapping and holding the screen to make the bird fly. Main game mainly revolves around the timing of your beats so that birds glide down the hills and fly them. The game has a special mission to improve the nest of players and increase their number multipliers. These challenges revolve around reaching certain islands or achieving certain achievements several times in one game. Visual games are procedurally generated, making it look different every day. An alternative game mode allows players to compete against three other birds controlled by AI.

The game has received very positive reviews. Many reviewers praised the simple game game but the elaborate nuances. IGN gave the game a score of 8.0/10 and said that it "came together as a simple fun that can be played." Slide to Play delivers the perfect 4/4 game and says that the game is "brilliant in simplicity, originality, and the ability to get you back again and again." Game Pundit gives the game 8.5/10 which says that "This is one of the games you can take and play to take 10 minutes and have fun too." The game is seeded by Apple's senior vice president, Scott Forstall, as an "addictive mind game" at Apple's 2011 Worldwide Developers Conference.
