The company was founded in Italy in 1957 and moved its operations to the US in 1978. Scarselli Diamonds offers high-end natural luxury diamonds, most of which are yellow diamonds, pink diamonds, red diamonds, blue diamonds and some colorless diamonds , although they also sell precious gems including emeralds, sapphires, and rubies.
The company headquarters operates outside of New York City, and they have major offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The company is currently best known as the owner of Aurora Green Diamond, the largest green diamond ever sold at auction. It was sold by Christie in May 2016 with a record price per carat of $ 3.3 million for Chinese Chow Tai Fook jewelry company, valued at $ 16.8 million.
