The Diamond Resorts Invitational is a pro-am golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions, playing at Tranquilo Golf Club at the Four Seasons in Orlando, Florida and benefiting Florida Hospital for Children. Its first edition is in January 2016 and in 2017, the tournament hosts the PGA Tour Champions Challenge Season. The 2018 event features a 28 Champions Tour and 4 LPGA Tour professionals, and 50 celebrity amateur golfers. This tournament is a 54-hole event without cuts, and uses the Stableford Modified rating system. By 2017, the tournament has raised more than $ 2.3 million for Florida Children's Hospital. The 2018 tournament will be held January 12-14.

2013
In 2013, the professional PGA Tour, Brian Gay, offers to lend his name to a legally sponsored Diamond Resorts golf invitation in an effort to help raise money for Florida Children's Hospital. More than 300 golfers, celebrities and spectators attended the event. The tournament also hosts a celebrity golf tournament with a $ 40,000 purse. PGA Tour professional Nick O'Hern won the Professional Golf Division and retired NFL player Mark Rypien is a celebrity champion.
2014
In the second year, Diamond Resorts Invitational is held at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Florida from 11-14 December 2014. Over 400 people participate in weekend events, including amateur/amateur golf tournaments and private concerts by country music artist Colt Ford. PGA Tour professional JB Holmes won the PGA Tour Division, shooting 9-under 63. The celebrity champion is a former Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz, who defeated Baseball Operation President for Atlanta Brave, John Hart, in a one-hole playoff.

By 2016, the golf event is named Diamond Resorts Invitational which benefits the Florida Children's Hospital and is broadcast nationwide on Golf Channel with 81-man field, 54-hole celebrity tournaments. The event was held on 12-17 January 2016 at The Golden Bear Club in Windermere, Florida and featured the Stableford rating format with a $ 500,000 wallet. After three days of playing, former American professional Mardy Fish claimed victory. Celebrity ranks include Super Bowl MVPs Jerry Rice, Marcus Allen, Richard Dent and Mark Rypien; Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame pitcher from Greg Maddux, John Smoltz and Tom Glavine; ESPN college football expert and former NFL quarterback Danny Kanell; baseball legends Reggie Jackson, Roger Clemens and Gaylord Perry; and celebrity entertainers Larry The Cable Guy, Jake Owen and Colt Ford.
2017
In 2017, this tournament becomes the PGA Tour Champions Challenge Season event. It was held January 13-15 at the Tranquilo Golf Course at Four Seasons Resort Orlando. It has 27 players PGA TOUR Champions, three LPGA players and 48 other amateur amateur players. The players are organized into three professionals and two celebrities, and compete side by side in the Modified Stableford score format for a separate wallet with a total of $ 1.25 million. PGA Champions Tour Tour Woody Austin won professional division and MLB pitcher Mark Mulder won the celebrity division.
