History

1978-1999

Controversy

Whistleblower Case

The Home Depot is involved in whistleblower litigation filed under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) law. In July 2005, a former employee of Michael Davis, represented by lawyer Mark D. Schwartz, filed a whistleblower suit against Home Depot, claiming his dismissal was retaliation for refusing to make unwarranted backcharges against the vendor.
