Criteria

The German Eagle's Order is a diplomatic and honor award given to leading foreigners, especially diplomats, who are considered sympathetic to Nazism.

In addition to the non-German award, the Reich Foreign Minister and Reich Patron from Bohemia and Moravia received a 'Special Degree' (Sonderstufe), with an identical symbol to the Grand Cross of the Order. Thus, Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantin von Neurath, received the Special Degree of the Order, with further appreciation to Joachim von Ribbentrop on his appointment as Foreign Minister in 1938. Wilhelm Frick received the Special Degree after becoming the Reich Patron of Bohemia and Moravia.
