M. P. Ahammed (born November 1, 1957) is an Indian businessman and chairman of the Malabar Group of Companies. He is also the founder of Malabar Gold and Diamonds, one of the largest retail jewelry groups in the world.
According to the Economic Times, in 2012 Malabar Gold and Diamonds made a change of Rs. 12,000 Crore, and by the end of 2013, the company's turnover touches Rs. 22,000 Crore.

Kehidupan awal
M. P. Ahammed was born from Mammad Kutty Hajee and Fathima. At the age of 17, he started his first agro business. Then in 1981, at the age of 24, he ventured into the business of spices and copra.

Malabar Gold and Diamonds
On September 17, 1993, M.P. Ahammed entered the gold jewelry business by opening Malabar Gold , a jewelry showroom in Kozhikode in the capital Rs. 50 Lakh, who was raised with the support of friends and relatives. In the next decade, Malabar Gold saw a slow and stable expansion, and gradually became one of the most trusted gold jewelry brands in the world.
Malabar Gold opened their first showroom outside Kerala on April 12, 2005 in Bangalore. Malabar Gold was renamed Malabar Gold & amp; Diamond in 2012. In the same year, Malabar Group of Companies announced expansion plans for Malabar Gold and Diamonds, which will increase the company's retail network to 220, with investment spending over Rs. 35 billion by the end of 2015. In 2015, Malabar Gold and Diamonds has more than 150 showrooms in different parts of the world.
Malabar Developers
In 2005, marked the launch of the Malabar Group of Companies real estate division, the first commercial building Malabar Developers launched in Kozhikode. In 2014, Malabar Developers embarked on a plan for Mall of Travancore, which is designed to become a global standard shopping center. The foundation stone for the Mall of Travancore was laid by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Eham Digital
Started in 2016, Eham Digital is a joint venture between Malabar Group and Nikshan Electronics that ventures into the Electronic retail business, Home Appliances, and Gadgets. Eham Digital was launched in Calicut with the largest showroom of its kind in Kerala.
Personal life
M. P. Ahammed is married to Subaida K.P, and together they have two children, Shamlal Ahammed and Soujath Asher. Shamlal Ahammed is Managing Director, International Operation of Malabar Gold and Diamonds. Asher O, son-in-law of M. P. Ahammed, is the Managing Director, Operation India of Malabar Gold and Diamonds.
